Megan received her art education degree from Indiana University and has worked in various graphic arts and cartographic jobs. She was able to continue her studies at many different schools as her husband's studies took them to several states. Subsequent classes and workshops enhanced her skills and kindled an interest in portraiture. Megan has won awards at local and regional art shows and has paintings in private and public collections.
Artist's Statement
"It's always the light that catches my eye. I attempt to convey the unparalleled beauty I see in the commonplace. My recent move to Virginia has opened my eyes to the allure of the Atlantic coast and has put new colors on my pallet. I attempt to capture the brilliance of the colors, but my true subject is always light. I see beauty everywhere and am continually inspired by the wonder of nature. When my paintings convey a similar response from the viewer, I consider my paintings a success."
